About Our Spaces

Classroom

Capacity: 30 Seats

The classroom is designed for interactive instruction, seating 30 participants. It serves as the central hub for theoretical training and seminar-style discussions and is fully equipped with large wall-mounted displays, ceiling microphones, and A/V integration. This technology allows instructors to engage both in-person and remote learners, enabling hybrid learning experiences. The classroom is ideal for presenting theoretical concepts, reviewing experimental protocols, or hosting discussions on biomedical research techniques, experimental design, and bioinformatic analysis. Convenient access to labs and building amenities makes it a versatile space.

Primary Lab

Capacity: 30 Seats

The primary lab is optimized for hands-on biomedical training, accommodating up to 30 participants in four learning stations. It is equipped for BSL2-level work, with laminar airflow hoods, and equipment for practical instruction in microbiology, molecular biology, immunology, genetics, and microscopy techniques. With large displays, ceiling cameras, and microphones, protocols can be effectively taught from the dedicated instructor station to the learning stations without the need to shuffle students. The lab also features HDMI plug-and-play functionality to incorporate a wide variety of scientific equipment into the teaching process. This versatile space is perfect for immersive, hands-on workshops where participants can gain direct experience with advanced laboratory techniques under the guidance of expert instructors.

Secondary Lab

Capacity: 15 Seats

The secondary lab offers a more focused setting for specialized biomedical training, seating up to 15 participants. It is fully equipped for BSL2-level work and focuses on practical training in safety protocols, microscopy, and other molecular and cellular techniques. The smaller size of this lab allows for more personalized instruction and focused group work, making it ideal for advanced technique workshops or niche biomedical skill development. With full A/V integration, remote learners can easily participate in live demonstrations, ensuring an inclusive and engaging learning experience.

Dedicated Tissue Culture Room

Our dedicated tissue culture room is a sterile environment built for hands-on training in mammalian cell culture separate from routine aseptic work of the primary and secondary labs. The space includes laminar air-flow hoods, incubators, and other equipment required for BSL2-level cell culture work. This room allows participants to gain practical skills in maintaining and manipulating cell cultures under sterile conditions in small group settings.

Prep Lab

The prep lab is an essential support space that ensures workshops run smoothly by providing a dedicated space to prepare reagent materials required for active instructional spaces. This includes weighing scales, centrifuges, and pH probe. This enables rapid setup and seamless transitions between practical activities.

Conference Room

Capacity: 6 Seats

The conference room is designed for small team meetings and conference calls, seating up to 6 participants. It features a large display and a whiteboard, making it perfect for brainstorming sessions, presentations, or video conferences over the internet. With A/V capabilities to support hybrid meetings, this room offers a quiet and professional setting for focused discussions or remote collaboration.
