Academic Programs at the NIH (FAES) and the IIG Steering Committee is pleased to announce that the 2023 NIH/FDA Immunology Interest Group Symposia on Barrier Immunity will be held as an in-person meeting on November 15 to 17, 2023 at the Natcher Building on the NIH Bethesda Campus.

The IIG Symposia will bring together experts in Barrier Immunity from the extramural and intramural Immunology communities and also provide opportunities for trainees to present their studies and to receive valuable feedback. In order to showcase the best of intramural NIH/FDA immunology, we are counting on your active participation to make this year’s workshop successful.

Course Outline

We will have a full and exciting agenda of cutting-edge immunology talks, including plenary talks from our keynote speakers. Poster sessions will be held in-person.

The workshop will not be recorded, so your active participation is highly encouraged.

Here are some essential things to know about this year’s workshop:

• Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words. Keep in mind that the abstract that is submitted in your registration is the final version. Edits or changes in your abstract cannot be accepted after you have completed your registration. Use only Roman characters. Please proofread carefully and make sure you have checked with your PI (if needed) before you submit your abstract. Abstracts may be withdrawn BEFORE November 10, 2023.
• Registration will be closed about October 10, 2023 and will be limited to 400 participants. We expect registration slots to fill quickly. Registration will be closed when capacity is reached so please register as soon as possible.
• Only registered individuals will receive an electronic abstract book.

Cancellation Policy:

We will be sorry that you will not be able to join us. A $100 non-refundable processing fee will be deducted from all refunds issued for registration cancellations received by November 14, 2023. Refund requests must be submitted in writing, include the registrants confirmation number, and be received by 11:59 PM (EST), on November 14, 2023. No refunds will be issued after November 14, 2023.
