Course Description

Bundle Registration! Save a bundle and receive 30% off the individual course rate when your register for both GENL 319 and GENL 320!

Students will develop a study plan for the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT™) accompanied by access to resources to refresh and deepen their content knowledge. These courses will heavily rely on solving MCAT-style questions with the goal of promoting genuine understanding of the material, decreasing ineffective memorization, and improving students’ confidence. In GENL 319, students will focus on preparing for the Chemistry/Physics section of the MCAT, and in GENL 320, students will focus on preparing for the Biology/Biochemistry and Psychology/Sociology sections. Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills (CARS) will also be an emphasis throughout both sections of course. Students will be expected to use MCAT review books, identify topics that are unfamiliar or difficult for them, and focus on those topics during the course of study. The purpose of this course is to help students create a structured study plan customized to their unique needs, find a community of students studying for the MCAT, and access resources that can help increase their knowledge in the MCAT competencies. For a complete description of the MCAT exam, prerequisites, and eligibility, please visit www.aamc.org.
