Course Description

This course introduces the fundamental genetics, signaling, and treatments of cancer. The emphasis of this course will be on important pathways for the pathogenesis of many cancer types. The course will also examine current literature regarding cancer and its interpretation.

Learner Outcomes

When you complete the course successfully, you will be able to:

  • Describe the major pathways responsible for oncogenesis
  • Summarize current therapies in cancer and their mechanisms of action
  • Interpret figures from primary research
