Course Description

The course will cover advanced SAS coding concepts such as the use of SAS Macro, SAS SQL, as well as a combination of both. The course will also introduce students to SAS STAT coding for common statistical tests (such as t-test, ANOVA, linear regression, and others). Students will have the opportunity to practice in class, using sample datasets. Homework and project assignments will be provided as well.

Prerequisites

STAT 330 Introduction to SAS or equivalent at another college/university.

Textbook Information

There is a required textbook for STAT 430 that can be purchased through FAES or on your own. The name of the book is: SAS Essentials: Mastering SAS for Data Analytics 2nd. ed. (2018). The fee for the book is $67.50. If you would like to purchase the book through FAES, please register for the section that includes the book. Upon receipt of payment and fulfillment of your book order, your book can be picked up at the FAES Bookstore in Building 10 on the NIH campus in Bethesda.
