Biomedical Sciences Endeavor Badge (5-6 credits)

Overview

This microcredential provides broad exposure to the biological sciences that underpin modern biomedical research and healthcare. Learners explore the structure, function, and interactions of biological systems across multiple disciplines, building a comprehensive understanding of human health, disease, and scientific discovery.

This microcredential is for researchers, healthcare professionals, students, and lifelong learners who want to strengthen their knowledge of the biomedical sciences or expand their expertise across multiple areas of biology and medicine.

Requirements

Upon completion of the following badge requirements, students will be issued the Biomedical Sciences Endeavor digital badge for use on their resume, online portfolio, website, and social media pages.

  • 5-6 credits from FAES courses in biomedical science: biology (BIOL), biochemistry (BIOC), chemistry (CHEM), immunology (IMMU), genetics (GENE)*, medicine (MEDI), microbiology (MICR), neuroscience (NEUR), pharmacology (PHAR), and public health (PBHL).
  • Students must earn a letter grade of C or above or a “pass” if the course is pass/fail. Audited courses do not qualify toward a digital badge.
  • Programming completed in the last 5 calendar years can be applied toward the digital badge.
